Leeds' Elland Road stadium has been named as one of the potential venues for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
England Rugby 2015, the competition's organising body, have identified Elland Road as one of 17 venues to be considered.
The club's chief executive Shaun Harvey said: "We're delighted the club remains on the list of potential venues to be used during the Rugby World Cup in 2015.
"Yorkshire has a long tradition in providing international rugby players and for being exceptionally strong and vibrant at club level.
"We hope that the fans of the game will be able to see some of the world's best players in Leeds during the World Cup. We look forward to continuing to play a full part with Leeds City Council as the selection process continues."
Other football grounds on the provisional list include those of Manchester United, Newcastle, Sunderland, Aston Villa, Southampton, Bristol City, Derby, Coventry, Brighton, Leicester and MK Dons.
