Emms a winner again
Gail Emms rolled back the years as she made a winning start to her 'comeback' at the English National Championships in Milton Keynes.
The 36-year-old former Olympian, who retired after the 2008 Beijing Games, has agreed to make a one-off appearance in this weekend's tournament.
Emms won mixed doubles silver with Nathan Robertson at Athens 2004 and it was in that discipline she excelled again as she and Marcus Ellis came from behind to beat Ben Stawski and Alex Langley 13-21 21-10 21-6.
They will next play Chris and Gabby Adcock after the world number five pair saw off Conor Bambrick and Suzanne Rayappan 21-9 21-19.
