England defeated by Canada
England have lost their Nations Cup title as they were beat 27-13 by Canada in Colorado.
They were outscored three tries to two and were never in front, with their inexperience - they had 11 new caps in their squad - finally catching up with them.
Canada had the benefit of a quick start as Cheryl Phillips touched down and, with Magali Harvey adding the extras, it was 7-0 early on.
Ceri Large got England moving with a 13th-minute penalty but Canada roared back with Bianca Farella going in at the corner and Harvey again converting.
England made their way over the line just before break as Laura Keates powered over, but two Harvey penalties after the restart kept them out of harm's reach.
Victoria Fleetwood drilled in for a second England try but it was not converted and Canada ended on top, with Farella scorching clear to wrap things up.
