England field against Australia
England included just three of their Ashes winners in their team to face Australia in the first Twenty20 international at the Ageas Bowl.
Australia, meanwhile, handed an international debut to their Pakistan-born leg-spinner Fawad Ahmed to complete his fairytale rise into the international ranks.
The 31-year-old was only granted permission to appear for his adopted nation earlier this summer after the Australian Government fast-tracked his citizenship.
Ahmed fled Pakistan three years ago and after seeking asylym in Australia has risen through the country's cricketing structure and into the national team.
England captain Stuart Broad, who won the toss and chose to field, was joined by Joe Root and Steven Finn as the hosts' only players from the Test series.
Australia were also much-changed, retaining only David Warner, Shane Watson and James Faulkner from the side that ended their 3-0 Ashes series defeat at the Kia Oval last week.
