Errani makes it three in a row

Sara Errani extended her winning streak to 15 matches and three titles as she lifted the Budapest Grand Prix crown in Hungary.

The Italian top seed built on her victories in Acapulco and Barcelona with a 7-5 6-4 win over Russia's Elena Vesnina, who had two set points in the opener but could not take them.

Errani said after the match: "I didn't imagine win any titles this year and now I have three."

Vesnina has now lost all six of her WTA Tour finals, and she said: "I was playing very well at the beginning, but Sara is the kind of player who destroys your game and makes you feel uncomfortable on the court.

"I tried to play aggressively throughout the match but the slow court suited Sara's game better than it did mine, and all credit to her for winning."
