Etheridge extends loan

Derby goalkeeper Ross Etheridge has extended his loan spell at non-league neighbours Ilkeston FC until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old, who signed a professional contract with the Rams in the summer after two years with the club's academy, moved to the Evo-Stik League Northern Premier League side on a month-long deal in December.

Ilkeston are managed by former Derby player Kevin Wilson, who said: "Ross has done very well for us since joining.

"His performances have been of a high standard and it's great to get him on board until the end of the season.

"We are thankful to Derby that they have allowed us to extend his loan here at the New Manor Ground. It's great that we have ties with the professional clubs in the local area and we hope it can continue.

"What we have got with Ross is a developing goalkeeper who will come here and improve. It's beneficial for both parties."
