Europeans handed Cox invites

Mukhadram and Noble Mission have both been issued with invitations to run in the Sportingbet Cox Plate in Australia later in the year.

The pair, trained by William Haggas and Lady Cecil respectively, feature on a list of 10 runners targeted by Racing Victoria's international recruitment officer Leigh Jordon.

Noble Mission was last seen when winning the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh last month while Mukhadram is set to bid for Group One glory in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot next week.

Corine Barande-Barbe's stable star Cirrus Des Aigles has been invited along with the Godolphin-owned pair of Dubai World Cup winner African Story and last year's Irish Derby hero Trading Leather.

French runner Smoking Sun and Japanese star Just A Way, who is currently the highest-rated horse in the world, are also on the list along with Singapore Cup hero Dan Excel.
