Evans hopes for transfer boost
Rotherham boss Steve Evans is hoping for good news in the transfer market as he waits on a potential sixth signing of the month.
The Millers have already recruited heavily during the January window but Evans is keen for one more and has placed a bid for an unnamed player.
He saw an offer rejected on a second target last week and admits that if he is unsuccessful again, he will not be pursuing any other options.
"We have put two good offers out on players," Evans said. "One of those has been refused so we are done with that and we will pick the other one up on Monday.
"If that is rejected, then we're done.
"I have always said we won't be running about on transfer deadline day."
As well as putting offers in on players to come into New York, Evans has also been fending off offers for his own players, with highly-rated Ben Pringle the likely subject of the bid.
"My chairman has been magnificent. We have this week turned down a good offer for one of our players," he said.
"The chairman has always told me that decision is at my door. I don't want to sell him because I want the best players here to try and get Rotherham in the play-offs."
