Everton v Southampton preview
Tim Howard and Gareth Barry will both sit out Everton's Premier League clash with Southampton on Sunday due to suspension.
Howard's ban comes after the goalkeeper was shown a straight red card in the 1-0 home loss to Sunderland on Boxing Day while for on-loan Manchester City midfielder Barry, the suspension is the result of him picking up his fifth booking of the season in that game.
Forward Kevin Mirallas was substituted at half-time during the contest having felt unwell and it remains to be seen whether or not he or Toffees full-back Leighton Baines, who has been sidelined by a broken toe but is nearing readiness for a comeback, will feature.
Southampton will check on Dejan Lovren ahead of the trip to Goodison Park.
The defender missed the Boxing Day win at Cardiff through illness but could return against the Toffees, while Nathaniel Clyne and Dani Osvaldo are also in contention.
But Artur Boruc (hand), Victor Wanyama (shin) and Guly do Prado (knee) remain sidelined.
