Fabio: We must show fight
Cardiff City full-back Fabio da Silva says that his side must start to show the fight needed to secure their Premier League status.
The 23-year-old, who joined from Manchester United in January, has featured in seven games for the Bluebirds who find themselves sitting just one point above bottom-placed Fulham in 19th.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have only won once in their last six league outings and Fabio thinks that he and his team-mates must take responsibility and turn their fortunes around.
"What we all have to ask ourselves individually is, 'what can we bring to the fight'?" he told the South Wales Echo.
"We have to give our all as individuals and as a team to ensure we stay in the Premier League. It doesn't matter who we are playing against when it gets to this stage.
"We need points and every match is an opportunity. We must not look too far ahead.
"Survival will mean us picking up points here and there, game by game. It's an important factor to treat things that way.
"People will talk about 'six-pointers', but every game from now until the end of this season is going to be massive."
Fabio featured just three times at United this season prior to his switch to Cardiff and he says he is improving all the time.
"I'm getting sharper, getting better and I learned from the early games of my Cardiff career. My aim is to improve every time I pull on the shirt," he said.
Speaking his side's battle for safety, Fabio added: "I can see in every face the desire to survive, to win matches.
"There is a lot of pressure on us, of course, but we'll do everything in our power to ensure Cardiff City are playing Premier League football again next season."
