Fairbank makes Wakefield switch
Wakefield have signed Huddersfield back-rower Jacob Fairbank on an initial month-long loan and are set to give him his debut at Hull on Sunday.
The 24-year-old has yet to play for the Giants this year and had loan spells at Bradford and London last year while also being dual registered with Championship club Batley.
Wildcats coach Richard Agar said: "We felt that it will boost our ranks in the middle of the field, initially for a month.
"He's got a terrific engine and a really good tradesman so we think he'll boost our squad and cover one or two issues we've got with injuries and fitness."
Huddersfield managing director Richard Thewlis said: "Jacob clearly needs game time and, whilst he is dual registered, all players aspire to play at the highest level which Wakefield can provide at this moment in time, so it's another all round win for everyone concerned."
The Wildcats have lost their last six matches and second rower Ali Lauitiiti is facing a lengthy spell out of the game with a knee injury.
