Fattsota is to be given his chance in Pattern company in the Worthington's Champion Shield Navigation Brewery Stakes at Newbury on Saturday.
The four-year-old began the season with a rating of 93 but has progressed through the ranks to earn a mark of 107.
Fourth to subsequent St Leger hero Encke at Sandown in July, the Marco Botti-trained gelding has gone on to win two handicaps at Ascot as well as being narrowly beaten by Viking Storm at Doncaster.
He now steps up in class for this weekend's Group Three contest, registered as the St Simon Stakes, over a mile and a half.
"He's doing well and he handles the ground. He's gone up to 107, so we will take a chance," said Botti.
"His form is solid and he has done very well for us this year."
