Featherstone are through to their first Northern Rail Cup final at Blackpool after demolishing holders Leigh 54-16 in the first semi-final.

Centre Sam Smeaton led Rovers' rout with four of his side's 10 tries while half-back Liam Finn contributed 18 points with a try and seven goals.

Featherstone never looked back after Smeaton touched down twice in the first quarter and he went on to complete his hat-trick two minutes before half-time, when his side led 24-4.

Wingers Jack Briscoe and Tom Saxton both scored two tries and captain Stuart Dickens also got on the scoreboard.

Leigh's tries came from Kevin Henderson, Sam Hopkins and Stuart Littler, with Martyn Ridyard kicking two goals.

In the final on July 29, Featherstone will meet the winners of the second semi-final between Sheffield Eagles and Halifax at the Don Valley Stadium.
