Roger Federer experienced few problems as he cruised into the final of the Gerry Weber Open at Halle, beating Mikhail Youzhny in straight sets.
The number two seed won 6-1 6-4 in 61 minutes, breaking the 29-year-old Moscow player's serve four times.
The only worry for the Swiss world No 3 came towards the end of the second set after he failed to serve out for the match while leading 5-2.
However, he made certain at the second time of asking and is now one victory away from lifting the grass court title for a sixth time.
It was his 13th victory over Youzhny in as many meetings.
