Darren Ferguson has been assured by Peterborough's chairman Darragh MacAnthony that his job is not at risk despite the club's poor run.
A run of five defeats at the start of the Championship season has led to speculation might lose patience with his manager.
But MacAnthony is not interested in staying at London Road unless Ferguson is in charge.
"If Darren were to leave, I'd do the same - I'd have failed," he said.
"Getting rid of the manager isn't the way to go, he's an amazing manager and he needs all our support."
