Top seed and defending champion David Ferrer reached the final of the Copa Claro with a straight-sets victory over fellow Spaniard Tommy Robredo.
Ferrer, the world number four, prevailed 6-3 6-2 for his sixth win in eight career meeting with Robredo.
He will take on third seed Stanislas Wawrinka for the title in Buenos Aires on Sunday.
Switzerland's Wawrinka was a 6-3 7-5 winner over second-seeded Spaniard Nicolas Almagro in the later semi-final.
