Ffos Las given go-ahead

Saturday afternoon's meeting at Ffos Las goes ahead following a successful 7.30am course inspection.

Waterlogging had been the main concern at the Welsh venue, but officials at the track were heartened by conditions after an early-morning assessment.

Fifteen millimetres of rainfall during Friday was exacerbated by another sharp shower last night, but the ground is still raceable.

The going is currently heavy for a fixture which features the Burns Pet Nutrition Welsh Champion Hurdle.

Ffos Las general manager Tim Long said: "We've had plenty of rain, but we are on - and that's the main thing.

"It's going to be tough going out there - there's also quite a fair wind to deal with - but we are good to go."
