Five share lead in Greensboro

Five players were tied at the top of the leaderboard midway through the third day of the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro.

Harris English, Carl Petterson, Tim Clark, Webb Simpson and Sergio Garcia were all locked together on 12 under par, with overnight leader Jimmy Walker a shot behind having dropped a stroke over his first six holes.

He was joined on 11 under by Richard H Lee and Bud Cauley, with Davis Love III and Justin Leonard heading up a five-strong pack of players another shot back in a heavily congested group.

Lee and Leonard were the days biggest movers, with both six under for the day, with Lee having played 16 holes and Leonard signing his card for 64.

Few players were struggling to beat par on a course that seemed to be giving away birdies, with Walker one of just four players in the top 50 to have gone over par the recommended score so far today.

With the likes of Charl Schwartzel and Jason Dufner looking threatening on nine under too - five players were in the boat - few could be ruled out of the running, with another seven players sitting four shots adrift at eight under.

England's Paul Casey was unable to cash in, though, going around in a seven-over 77 today and propping up the field, with his score worsened only by Jason Kokrak's eight over.
