Flintshire misses George date
Flintshire has been ruled out of the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes due to an elevated temperature.
The Andre Fabre-trained colt finished second in the Coronation Cup at Epsom on his only previous trip to Britain and was looking to step up on his recent fifth in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud.
However, Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager for owner Khalid Abdullah, reports the four-year-old to be under the weather.
He said: "Andre Fabre has reported that Flintshire has a temperature above normal this morning and therefore will not run in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes on Saturday."
