London 2012 sold 141,000 Olympic football tournament tickets last week but more than 1.4million remain unsold, organisers have announced.
So far, only 11,000 tickets have been sold for the very first event of London 2012, Great Britain women v New Zealand in Cardiff on July 25, two days before the opening ceremony of the Games.
There have been some successes however with 62,000 seats sold for Team GB men v Senegal at Manchester's Old Trafford stadium, and 73,000 tickets sold for Great Britain men at Wembley v United Arab Emirates.
A total of 61,000 tickets have been sold for Team GB women in total, plus more than 90,000 sold for matches at Coventry's stadium.
what do you think?

When are they ever going to learn, football is essentially a mans sport, even most women prefer to watch mens football!

Paul Ladyman
Football should never be in the Olympic games. Dont we watch enough of it anyway? Why didnt they put the games in the smaller stadiums that need the money like Darlo ? Another example of the big clubs getting richer!

Women have no choice but to watch mens sport on UK tv since the channels totally disregard women... I note that despite the inflated pay that the men get, the UK women footballers have a better international record than their hairier counterparts!!!
