Forlan stars in Japan
Uruguay proved too good for Japan as they claimed a 4-2 win in the Miyagi Stadium.
The scoring was opened just before the hour when the much talked about Luis Suarez squared for Diego Forlan to slide hom.
Forlan doubled their advantage just moments later with a superb curling free-kick form the edge of the box after Suarez had been brought down by Maya Yoshida.
Man-of-the-match Suarez then got on himself on the score-sheet when he fired home brilliantly just after the break.
Manchester United midfielder Shinji Kagawa pulled one back for the hosts not long after Suarez's goal.
However, Japan's hope of getting back into the game was soon extinguished as Alvaro Gonzalez headed Uruguay's fourth on the hour.
Keisuke Honda smashd home a superb free-kick after 72 minute but, there was to be no dramatic come-back as Uruguay claimed an impressive win.
