Hoyland, a former midfielder with the club in the 1990s and most recently youth team boss at Preston, joins the academy as professional development head coach, responsible for the Under-18s.
Walmsley, formerly National Youth League mentor at the Central Coast Mariners in Australia, takes up his position as head of academy recruitment at Shirecliffe next month.
