Jockey Kieren Fox has been suspended for three months after contravening the whip rules for the fourth time in six months.
The rider was referred to the British Horseracing Authority disciplinary panel after partnering Salient in the Italian Brasserie Brighton Marina Handicap Stakes at Brighton October 9.
That was the fourth time he had been judged guilty of a whip offence which merited a suspension in excess of seven days.
The BHA tweeted: "Kieren Fox suspended for 3mths by Disciplinary Panel for 4th offence of improper use of whip warranting suspension of 7 days + in 6 months.
"Fox also to have one day of remedial training."
