Fox plans to seize opportunity
Charlton youngster Morgan Fox wants to grab his chance in the first team with both hands.
The 20-year-old defender has been plunged into Charlton's relegation battle by manager Jose Riga after first-choice left-back Rhoys Wiggins was ruled out for the season with a metatarsal injury.
Since then Fox has helped Charlton to a goalless draw against Bolton, on his full league debut, before playing in Monday's thrilling 3-2 win at Sheffield Wednesday.
"I was on the bench in the game when Rhoys was injured but we'd already made our three substitutions," said Fox.
"Then I spoke to Rhoys and he said he wasn't feeling right, and then a couple of days later the gaffer pulled me aside and told me to be ready.
"I've been around the squad for a while now. The manager just says play with no fear and that all the boys trust you.
"It's a big chance, probably the one I've been waiting for. Rhoys has been playing well so I didn't expect to be in before the end of the season with him doing his job and where we are in the league, but I'm very happy to be there at the moment."
