Foxes sign up Styris
Leicestershire Foxes have completed the signing of New Zealand international Scott Styris subject to visa approval.
The 38-year-old Styris will become the club's second overseas player for the NatWest T20 Blast competition, which starts against Derbyshire on May 16.
Styris, who has played with both Chennai Super Kings and the Deccan Chargers in the Indian Premier League, hit the headlines in 2012 when he hit a world record 38 runs in one over for Sussex in the quarter-final of the English domestic competition.
He is closing in on 4,000 runs in the T20 format and has a strike rate of 134.92 from 170 innings. He has also picked up 113 wickets at an economy
rate of under 7.5 an over.
Styris said: "Having played in two finals days in the last four years, I feel I have unfinished business in English T20 cricket and want to play a key role for a successful Foxes campaign."
