France adds flair to Guineas

Andre Fabre has confirmed Miss France an intended runner in the Qipco 1000 Guineas at Newmarket on Sunday week.

Although she disappointed on her return in the Prix Imprudence at Maisons-Laffitte, Fabre saw enough in a workout on Tuesday morning to give the filly, who won the Oh So Sharp Stakes on the Rowley Mile last September, the green light for a return to Newmarket.

Fabre said: "I was very pleased with her work and after discussing it with her owners, she is now an intended runner at Newmarket.

"She has run on the track before and the ground will probably be better for her there than it will be anywhere else."

Fabre trained has trained Zafonic (1993) and Pennekamp (1995) to win the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket, but has not yet tasted success in the fillies' Classic.
