Fraser-Pryce and Jeter to meet

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Carmelita Jeter will go head to head over 60 metres at the British Athletics Grand Prix in Birmingham on Saturday.

Jamaican Fraser-Pryce, the double reigning Olympic 100m champion, will be competing in her first indoor race.

"It will be my first taste of racing indoors and I'm really excited about competing in front of a British crowd again and seeing what I can do over 60m," she said.

"I have a good start in most of my races so hopefully that will help me competing over a shorter distance."

"We always seem to bring the best out of each other and I'm looking forward to facing her again and running in front of the passionate British crowd," said American Jeter, the second fastest woman in history.

Ivory Coast's Murielle Ahoure, who heads the 2013 rankings, and newly-crowned British champion Asha Philip will also be in the field.

Aries Merritt, the Olympic champion and world record holder over 110m hurdles, has pulled out of the meeting due to a hamstring injury.
