Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman was delighted to see his side come through a tough week with four hard-earned points.
The Eagles drew 1-1 with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night but were staring at defeat when they fell 2-0 behind at home to Cardiff on Saturday.
However, a second-half hat-trick from Glenn Murray secured a stunning 3-2 win for Palace against a side Freedman expects to be challenging for promotion.
"Cardiff are a good side and they'll be in the shake-up come the end of the season," said Freedman.
"So it makes me even prouder as a manager that we've stood up to a huge challenge this week against Cardiff and Nottingham Forest.
"Those two performances deserved two wins, really."
