French trio eye City youngster
Manchester City midfielder Abdisalam Ibrahim is a target for several French sides in this month's transfer window, Sky Sports understands.
St Etienne, Toulouse and Lorient are all weighing up moves for Ibrahim as they look to bolster their squads in the New Year.
Ibrahim, whose playing style has been likened to Patrick Vieira and Yaya Toure, has recently returned to City after a successful spell on loan at Stromsgodset who he helped win the championship.
The 22-year-old has been unable to break into the City side and with Ibrahim well down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium, Manuel Pellegrini is thought to be willing to let the midfielder move on this month.
A number of other clubs across Europe, including several Premier League sides, are thought to be keeping tabs on Ibrahim, but it appears France looks the most likely destination, with the Norway Under 21 international keen to be playing regular first-team football.
"I'm hoping my future is sorted out in the coming few weeks," Ibrahim told Sky Sports.
"I wanted to sign for a Premier League club but it looks like I could be going abroad as I am getting better proposals.
"I just want to play regular football for a coach who will also develop me and improve my game.
"I'm 22-years-old now, it's not time for me to be just training and not having to be looking forward to a game on a Saturday."
