Bordeaux have qualified for the knock-out stages of the Champions League thanks to goals from Yoann Gourcuff and Marouane Chamakh.

Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose missed early chances for Bayern while Edson Braafheid hit a post before Gourcuff opened the scoring on 37.

From Brazilian Wendel's high and deep free-kick, Gourcuff headed home at the far post to give the French champions the lead against the run of play.

Bastian Schweinsteiger's curling free-kick was palmed around a post by visiting keeper Cedric Carrasso who made a number of vital saves.

Sub Arjen Robben (53) flashed a great chance inches wide of the right-hand post while Mark van Bommel and Toni both missed excellent chances.
