FT: Sevilla 1 Stuttgart 1

Sevilla reached the last 16 of the Champions League despite losing their 100% Group G record after conceding a late goal to draw 1-1 with Stuttgart.

The Spanish side paid the price for taking their foot off the gas after going ahead through Jesus Navas (14) at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.

Ndri Romaric squared for the onrushing Navas to slot under Stuttgart stopper Jens Lehman.

Sevilla allowed the visitors back into the match though as Javi Varas had to save at his near post from Arthur Boka on 36 and Zdravko Kuzmanovic headed onto the crossbar nine minutes after the interval.

Lehman got down well to hold a low drive from the lively Romaric just after the hour.

But the German side were level when Kuzmanovic finished on the turn from the edge of the area on 79 and Julian Schieber almost earned the visitors their first win in the competition with an acrobatic volley on 83.
