Fulham gaffer on the mend
Fulham boss Martin Jol will hopefully be on the touchline for Sunday's Premier League clash with Sunderland at Craven Cottage.
The Dutchman has missed the Cottagers' last two matches due to a chest infection and was still absent from the training ground on Thursday.
However, it is hoped the 56-year-old will be well enough to return to work on Friday to oversee preparations for the visit of the Black Cats.
Jol had been expected to travel to Merseyside for the midweek clash with Liverpool but was forced to remain in London while his players recorded the club's first victory at Anfield.
First-team coach Billy McKinlay instead took credit for masterminding the historic 1-0 win and will again take charge this weekend should Jol fail to recover in time.
