Fulham keen to retain Tankovic
Fulham have offered a contract extension to Swedish attacking midfielder Muamer Tankovic as the 18-year-old generates interest across Europe.
Tankovic moved to Craven Cottage from Swedish club IFK Norrkoping in the summer of 2013 and made his first-team debut in Fulham's 3-0 FA Cup replay victory over Norwich on Tuesday.
The highly-sought after forward came on to replace compatriot Alexander Kacaniklic three minutes from time and Fulham are now keen to fight off European clubs.
With only six months left on his present contract, Tankovic's agent, Fabio Alho, claims several clubs have registered interest, with Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham said to be preparing a move for the talented playmaker.
Despite all the speculation, Alho insists Fulham are eager to secure Tankovic's services and have offered him an extension.
"Fulham are very pleased with Tankovic and consider him to be a big prospect for the future," Alho told Sportbladet.
"They certainly want to keep him. We will meet them and negotiate."
Although media reports continue to link Tankovic with a move away from Fulham, Alho refused to confirm which clubs have made contact.
"I do not want to talk about that, but it does not sound impossible," he said.
