Furman calls for consistency
Dean Furman wants Oldham to prove they have put their inconsistent ways behind them.
Erratic form has dogged Paul Dickov's side this term and plunged them into the npower League One relegation picture.
A run of four wins from five matches in all competitions has eased their fears considerably while they have also booked an attractive FA Cup third-round tie with Nottingham Forest, and Latics skipper Furman believes it is now time to kick on.
"Obviously we've had very much an inconsistent season so far," said the Latics skipper. "That's been one of our problems with respect to our league position.
"We've been really good some weeks and then we go a couple of weeks when we don't play too well, are making errors and dropping points.
"It's definitely an issue that's been very frustrating. Hopefully we have turned the corner but the proof will be in the up and coming weeks.
"Everyone has been working really hard in training on different styles of play and there's a great togetherness to achieve the standards we require as well."
