Galliani: Milan want striker
AC Milan chief Adriano Galliani has confirmed the club are looking to sign a striker as cover for the injured Giampaolo Pazzini.
Galliani spoke to Sky Sport Italia after the 3-0 Champions League qualifier second leg victory over PSV Eindhoven but would not be drawn into naming any target, amid reports suggesting the club are interested in signing Juventus' Alessandro Matri.
He said: "We can only take one player more and our coach wants cover for Giampaolo Pazzini because we don't know when he will return from injury.
"In defence and midfield we are okay. Matri? I mention no names, but we seek a striker."
Galliani went on to confirm that Milan would now wait until January to bring Japan star Keisuke Honda to the San Siro after months of speculation over a possible move this summer.
Honda's contract at CSKA Moscow expires at the end of 2013, allowing Milan to take the player on a free next year.
He also admitted the club have moved on after one-time target Adem Ljajic opted to join Roma from Fiorentina.
He said: "Any more contact for Keisuke Honda? No more, we will wait for January.
"Adem Ljajic to Roma? We don't mind, we'll find someone else."
