Garcia hopes to keep squad
Roma coach Rudi Garcia is hoping to retain the core of his squad for next season.
The Giallorossi enjoyed a fantastic campaign and finished runners-up in Serie A but several of their players have drawn the attention of foreign clubs.
Defender Mehdi Benatia is a reported target of Manchester City while Dutch midfielder Kevin Strootman has been strongly linked with Manchester United.
"This group is fantastic," Garcia said to Roma Channel. "We hope to keep almost all of them and improve the team.
"We have already started to build for the future."
Roma extended the contract of Bosnian playmaker Miralem Pjanic until June 2018 earlier this month, much to Garcia's delight.
"Pjanic's renewal is a good sign for the club, because our main aim in the transfer market is to keep our players," Garcia said.
"Then we need to bring in players with experience.
"In some positions where we are a little short in terms of quantity, we need to weigh up our options."
Roma, who will play in next season's Champions League group stages, are on a post-season tour in Orlando, Florida.
