Garrigus storms into lead
Robert Garrigus scored a brilliant 63 to take the clubhouse lead on the second day of the Frys.com Open in San Martin, California.
The American carded nine birdies, six of which came in a brilliant front nine of 29, and dropped only one shot in his eight-under-par round to move to nine under for the tournament which marks the start of the new 2013/14 PGA Tour season..
That left him level with compatriots Jim Herman and Brooks Koepka, who were both five under for their second rounds after the 16th and 15th holes respectively.
Colombian Camilo Villegas was one shot further back having added a 66 to his first-round 67 while Scott Brown's 67 on Friday saw him sitting in joint fifth place on seven under.
Overnight leader Jeff Overton had yet to start his second round after beginning with a 64 on Thursday.
