Gaskell injury rocks Bulls

Bradford will have to do without new signing Lee Gaskell for up to 12 weeks because of a knee injury.

The 23-year-old former Salford and St Helens stand-off was forced off in the Bulls' 23-10 win at Wakefield on Thursday night - only his second appearance for the club.

"We are bitterly disappointed for Lee," said Bulls coach Francis Cummins. "It is a big blow for us, that goes with saying.

"Injuries are very much part and parcel of our sport and Lee has been very unlucky, getting injured from the kick-off - in only the second game of the season.

"However, on a positive note, we have a great medical team in place here and I know he is in good hands.

"With the right type of rehabilitation, I am confident he will be back in time to complete the majority of our campaign."

Cummins has already brought in forwards Danny Bridge and Anthony Mullally on loan but is now being linked with a move for ex-Castleford half-back Ryan McGoldrick.
