GB Fed Cup opener postponed

The start of Great Britain's Fed Cup campaign has been delayed until Thursday because of rain in Israel.

Judy Murray's team had been due to play their opening match in Europe/Africa Zone Group I against Bosnia on Wednesday morning.

However, rain first delayed the contest and eventually organisers decided to put the match back until Thursday.

Britain's entire campaign has now been put back 24 hours with their ties against Portugal and Hungary to take place on Friday and Saturday respectively.

Anne Keothavong had surprisingly been selected to play singles against the Bosnians, along with Heather Watson, with Laura Robson rested.

An appearance on Thursday would be Keothavong's 39th Fed Cup tie, putting her clear in second place in GB's all-time appearance list. Only Virginia Wade has played in more Fed Cup ties (57).
