GB see off Germany challenge
Great Britain kept their hopes of reaching the EuroBasket second round alive after bouncing back to see off Germany 81-74.
Having beaten Israel in their opening clash, Joe Prunty's men lost their second and third against France and Belgium, but they responded strongly in Ljubljana on Sunday.
It seemed GB were heading for a third successive defeat when Germany led 23-13 in the first quarter, but they hit back with 11 unanswered points and never really looked back.
GB led 42-38 at half-time and 59-56 heading into the final quarter, which they won 22-18 to ensure their second victory of the competition.
Andrew Lawrence top scored for GB with 23 points but Myles Hesson was the more eye-catching performer, adding 21 points in a fantastic all-round display.
Tibor Pleiss was Germany's star man with 20 points, 14 rebounds and three assists in a losing cause.
After Sunday's success, GB must beat Ukraine in their final group game to guarantee qualification to the next round.
