Giants claim fifth straight win

Belfast Giants recorded their fifth successive victory, a 2-1 overtime win over Braehead Clan.

Ash Goldie was on target for Braehead before Jeffrey Szwez hit back for the Giants and Dustin Whitecotton added the winner in overtime to seal the win.

Second placed Dundee Stars returned to winning ways with a 4-3 home triumph over bottom side Edinburgh Capitals, while the Cardiff Devils also edged the Fife Flyers 4-3 in their match which was taken to overtime.

Adam Henrich scored a brace as seventh placed Coventry Blaze scored a massive six goals past Hull Stingrays in a 6-1 victory, with their opponents just one point above them in the standings.

And in Saturday night's other match Sheffield Steelers moved above Nottingham into fourth following their 5-2 win over the Panthers with Steven Goertzen on target with a double for the Steelers.
