Belfast Giants remained top of the Elite League standings and stretched their winning run to five games with a 6-3 victory over Cardiff Devils.
Hosts Belfast, last season's league winners, trailed early on and had to withstand a Cardiff fightback in the second period to claim victory, with Adam Keefe opening and closing the scoring for the home side.
Nottingham Panthers are three points behind in second place after thrashing Hull Stingrays 6-0 with six different players getting on the scoresheet.
The Panthers climbed above Sheffield Steelers, who were beaten 4-2 at Fife Flyers, for whom Kris Hogg struck a hat-trick.
In tonight's other game,
Braehead Clan beat winless Scottish rivals Edinburgh Capitals 6-3 with Jade Galbraith also notching a treble for the victors.
