Gladwin happy with boss talks

Ben Gladwin has spoken to his Swindon boss Mark Cooper about his plans for the midfielder next season.

The 21-year-old was playing non-league football with Marlow as recently as November and Cooper has discussed the importance of a first-ever professional pre-season with a player who has played eight times for the Robins since his arrival.

"His (Cooper's) plans for me next are season are to kick on and get a really good pre-season under my belt," he told the Gazette and Herald.

"Obviously I've never had a professional one before so that's going to be massive for me to really get up to the right fitness levels and as sharp as everyone else.

"I don't feel like I'm really unfit but I spoke to Mike (Peacock), the guy who does the fitness the other day, and he said my recovery time is just a little bit longer than the other boys at the moment and that won't change until I've had a pre-season."
