Glamorgan sign Nannes for T20

Former Australia international Dirk Nannes will join Glamorgan for their 2013 Friends Life t20 campaign.

Nannes, who won the last of his 15 caps for Australia in 2010 following two international appearances for Holland, is a Twenty20 specialist having played for clubs in Australia, New Zealand, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.

The 36-year-old also has experience of playing in England with Middlesex, Nottinghamshire and Surrey.

Glamorgan's head of elite performance Matthew Mott said: "We're really pleased to welcome Dirk to Glamorgan. He was on the radar for a number clubs and we are very happy to have secured his signature.

"We were looking for a strike and death bowler because they are like gold dust in T20 cricket.

"Dirk is vastly experienced in this format and a proven performer. With his experience of the competitions across the world, he will also provide a great deal of firepower and intimidation to our bowling unit."
