Gloucestershire extend Dent deal
Gloucestershire batsman Chris Dent has signed a new two-year deal with the club.
Dent, 22, has been a first-team regular in all-formats this season, and he follows hot on the heels of James Fuller in extending his contract at Bristol.
Dent hit his fourth first class century in Gloucestershire's last County Championship match against Northants, and he averages a healthy 48 this season. Only Michael Klinger and Alex Gidman have scored more four-day runs this summer.
The former England U19 international said: "I am really pleased to have extended my contract for another two years at the club I grew up at, and am looking forward in helping the team push for promotion."
Chief executive Tom Richardson added: "We are delighted that Chris Dent has signed an extension to his contract.
"Chris is a product of our academy and I'm really keen to see him go from strength to strength. We have a strong feeling that the best is yet to come."
