Oxford striker James Constable is desperate to get more first-team minutes after enduring the longest goal drought of his career.
The 28-year-old finally rediscovered his touch during Tuesday's win at Cheltenham to end a run which stretched to 21 games without a goal.
But Constable, who's known as 'Beano' to his team-mates, revealed confidence was never an issue during his barren spell and is keen to regain a central role in the side.
"In training, I'm scoring goals day-in day-out, it's not like I'm lacking in confidence," he told the Oxford Mail.
"I know I can score goals - 80 for the club in four years shows I can do that. Obviously it's been unfortunate this season I haven't played as many games as I would have liked.
"But I'm desperate to get out there and score some goals. But whatever team is picked, I can assure the fans that the XI out there are going to do the best they can to get the win."
