Golbourne enjoying Tykes time
Barnsley defender Scott Golbourne has hailed manager Keith Hill and assistant David Flitcroft for ensuring their players enjoy their football.
Hill and Flitcroft took charge at Oakwell in the summer of 2011 after steering Rochdale to promotion from League Two and have been linked with several other clubs in the recent past, the latest being Blackburn.
"From a personal point of view they've been brilliant," Golbourne said. "I feel quite free in the way I play. There's a few things that they require from me and you need to be able to defend.
"But for the most part you feel quite free in your football. They like you to go and play your football, to go and express yourself and enjoy yourself, which is massive.
"The style of football they like to play is complimentary to me I think, I can express myself within the team and it's enjoyable.
"I watch some of the other teams we play against and I think I'd probably struggle in some of those teams, with the style of football that they play and I've had it in the past - you're almost stripped down as a player as to the effect you can have on the game, but here I've enjoyed it thoroughly, it's been brilliant for me."
