Goldson back, Wroe departs
Shrewsbury have recalled Connor Goldson from his loan spell at Cheltenham but Nicky Wroe has returned to parent club Preston.
Defender Goldson only extended his stay into a second month at League Two Town on Tuesday, but Shrews have already been forced to activate a 24-hour recall clause.
It comes after Darren Jones sustained an injury prior to Tuesday's 2-0 defeat at home to Leyton Orient.
However, boss Graham Turner has been hit with the news that League One rivals Preston have themselves recalled midfielder Wroe from his loan stay at the Greenhous Meadow, which was due to expire in late January.
Turner told the club's official website: "Darren Jones picked up an injury in the warm-up before the game with Leyton Orient on Tuesday so we have recalled Connor.
"Preston have recalled Nicky and we thank him for his efforts in his time here."
