Goode: Opening clashes key
Saracens full-back Alex Goode is solely focused on helping his club make a winning start to this season's Heineken Cup, which begins this weekend.
The Londoners have begun their campaign with a perfect five wins from their first five Premiership games and Goode, 25, is keen for Sarries to carry that form over when they face Connacht on Friday.
He told Sky Sports: "At the moment, it's about getting out of the group and starting well. We've started well in the Premiership and we want to continue this form in the Heineken Cup and into the rest of the year.
"If we can do well in both, then fantastic. The atmosphere around here is fantastic. We made some changes last week and everyone who came into the squad did a great job.
"We're in a good place but we know it's going to be a tough test and we need to be at our best this weekend if we are going to get the win."
With the likes of Ben Foden keen to wrest the 15 shirt from Goode for the autumn internationals, the incumbent shrugged off questions on one of England head coach Stuart Lancaster's key decisions.
Goode added: "I'm at a great club and the way the boys are playing is a great platform for me. As far as I'm concerned, it's about these two massive games in the Heineken Cup. We've got a big challenge away at Connacht and then another one at home against Toulouse.
"I've got to play well for these two games and we'll see what Stuart has it mind after that."
Saracens' clash at Connacht is one of nine Heineken Cup games being broadcast exclusively live on Sky Sports this weekend
