Gordon happy to be back

Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon is hoping to play more games after making his first appearance in over two years.

Gordon started Celtic's 1-1 draw with Dynamo Dresden on Saturday and kept a clean sheet before being replaced by Lukasz Zaluska at half-time.

The 31-year-old's appearance was his first since featuring for Sunderland in April 2012, with that 2-2 draw against Bolton Wanderers his only competitive outing since February 2011.

The former Hearts keeper is happy to be back after recovering from a knee problem and he now wants to push for regular football in Ronny Deila's Celtic side.

\"I was a little nervous but I get that before every game,\" said Gordon in the Sunday Mail.

\"It felt like a big moment for me. I've worked really hard over the past couple of years to get to this point and although it was only 45 minutes it's definitely a step in the right direction for me.

\"I hope to move on and play more games. I want to play.

\"I've done a reasonable amount of training since January. It's the game situations I am looking forward to getting into now.

\"Doing that has been a large part of my life and not to have that over the past couple of years has been difficult.\"
